The right-wing populist AfD (alternative for Germany) wants to proceed with a court urgent petition against the classification of the party as a „test case“ by the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV). This has been decided by the AFD federal executive, said the state spokesman in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and deputy leader of the AFD in the Bundestag, Leif-Erik Holm, today at a state party convention in Lübtheen. This includes an emergency application in court.
The party also wanted to file a criminal complaint because journalists would have received the classified report. His party has no knowledge of the content of the report and will therefore sue for access to the file.
The federal executive also decided last night to file a complaint with the new BfV boss, Thomas Haldenwang, said Holm. The classification of his party as a „test case“ had to do with the new leadership of the domestic intelligence service, said Holm.
