An enigmatic stench in Hamburg’s streets has sparked a major fire service operation in Germany’s second-largest city during the night. In the evenings, many Hamburgers and Hamburgers called the emergency call and reported a pungent smell in the air, as the fire department announced.
Rescue teams made their way to the east of Hamburg with special measuring vehicles. Especially from the districts Uhlenhorst, Eilbek and Wandsbek, many people reported to the fire department. The authorities recommended local residents to close windows and doors.
Without finding the source of the foul odor, the fire brigade returned to the guards in the morning. „But we can say: there is no danger to health,“ said a spokesman for the police.
