One of the ships burning in the Black Sea again began to drift towards the Russian coast. It is reported by TASS with reference to the representative of the Azov-Black Sea branch of the Marine Rescue Service.
“The Kandy has come off the last mooring end, and it slowly drifts towards the Russian coast, towards the Krasnodar Territory,” said the source.
Earlier it was reported that rescuers will resume in the morning of January 24 an operation to search for sailors who disappeared after a fire on ships in the Black Sea.
As stated in the Azov-Black Sea branch of the Maritime Rescue Service, the liquefied gas leaving tankers in the Black Sea does not allow to put out the fire on these vessels.
On January 21, a fire broke out on the gas carrier and another vessel flying the Tanzanian flag in the Kerch Strait area.
