Accordingly, the travel service provider increased its sales in 2018 year on year by 75 percent.
„For a company that has been active on the market for ten years, a growth of 75 percent is extraordinary,“ said MyTaxi boss Eckart Diepenhorst.
There were increases in all business segments, as the Daimler subsidiary reported. The amount of the proceeds was not named by the company. MyTaxi now operates in more than 100 cities in nine European countries. Across Europe, the number of trips booked through the MyTaxi app had risen to more than 40 million, that is an increase of over 60 percent, it said.
The company also justifies growth with new product offerings. MyTaxi now offers its sharing service Match in Hamburg, Berlin and Munich, where passengers can join forces with a similar destination and thus drive cheaper.
In November, the Daimler subsidiary in Lisbon launched the rental of e-scooters under the „Hive“ brand. Within a few weeks, you could win ten thousand users, it was said. The service will also be introduced in other European cities, but the company did not specify more concrete plans.
