Donald Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort has reportedly passed election campaign data to a business partner of Russian intelligence services during the 2016 US election campaign.

According to reports by various US media, this should prove court records published by Manafort’s lawyers on Tuesday. US special investigator Robert Mueller has accused Manafort and other campaigners of today’s President Trump of having colluded with and lied about colluding with Russian officials.

According to the „New York Times“ (Tuesday), the survey data passed in part came from a private company working for Trump’s campaign team. The court documents that were made available were an answer to the allegation that Manafort had lied to US investigators even after he agreed to cooperate with them.

According to the media, the files were insufficiently blackened. So had been readable that Manafort data passed on to his confidant Konstantin Kilimnik. Kilimnik should have connections to the Russian secret service. From the lawyers‘ answer, CNN also said that Manafort was discussing a peace plan for Ukraine with Kilimnik.

Also on Tuesday Russian lawyer Natalia Wesselnitskaya was charged with a legal disability. The prosecutor in New York accuses her of obstructing investigations into a money laundering case.

The lawyer also plays a role in the Russia affair surrounding Donald Trump because she met with Manafort during the election campaign as well as with Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. and son-in-law Jared Kushner. Trump’s son had been promised compromising material for the meeting about Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
