BMW is selling more cars in the USA again

0

For the first time since 2015, BMW sold more cars in the US last year. Because of the success in SUV models, sales of the BMW brand increased by 1.7 percent to 311,014 cars, as the company announced today at the US headquarters in Woodcliff Lake (New Jersey).

Especially the new model of the SUV X3 drove the sales. BMW no longer only builds the model in the US, but also in China and can therefore sell more of it in America.

Previously, BMW had recorded two lean years in the States with declines. The small car brand Mini, however, was less vehicles this year: 43,684 vehicles meant a minus of 7.3 percent.
VW too

The core brand of Volkswagen also reported a sales increase thanks to its SUV models. In 2018 sales of VW cars increased by 4.2 percent to 354,064 cars, as the company announced at its US headquarters in Herndon, Virginia.
