US Democrat Elizabeth Warren has taken a decisive step towards becoming a possibleUS Democrat in her party. The Senator from Massachusetts formed a committee on Monday to identify her chances in the event of a candidacy.
The 69-year-old, who belongs to the left wing of the Democrats, is the first prominent party representative who makes her ambitions public with such a move. It is expected that a number of other Democrats will follow in the coming weeks.
Warren said on Twitter that everyone in the US should be able to work hard and care for themselves and the people they love.
Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders are also considered potential challengers of Trump
In addition to Warren, former Vice President Joe Biden and independent Senator Bernie Sanders, who failed in the 2016 pre-election campaign against Hillary Clinton, are potential candidates for the Democrats. Senators Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar, Sherrod Brown, and Kirsten Gillibrand, as well as outgoing MEP Beto O’Rourke are also said to have ambitions.
