Iranian President Hassan Rohani will pay a two-day visit to Turkey at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan. This was reported by the Iranian news agency IRNA on Tuesday. During the visit, Rohani will attend the fifth meeting of the highest strategic relations committee between Iran and Turkey. Several important political, economic and cultural contracts should be signed, the report said.
At the meeting with Turkish Speaker of Parliament Binali Yildirim earlier this month, Rohani expressed his desire to deepen relations with Turkey. The bilateral cooperation in the areas of finance and energy should be accelerated, said the Iranian President.
