The waiting at a bus stop near the settlement Ofra group had been shot at from a passing Palestinian vehicle, said the army in the evening in the short message service Twitter.
Nearby Israeli soldiers shot back, but the perpetrators could have escaped with their vehicle.
The injured were taken to a hospital in nearby Jerusalem, the army said. A pregnant woman was seriously injured, a hospital spokesman said.
It was the first attack of its kind in the occupied West Bank since a Palestinian raided a group of three Israeli soldiers on 26 November. The soldiers were slightly injured, the driver of the car was shot. (Afp)
