Amazon is expanding its range of Apple products. Shortly before the start of the Christmas business, the two US technology rivals agreed to expand their previously limited cooperation. The world’s largest online retailer announced yesterday that it will also sell the latest versions of iPhones, iPads, the Apple Watch and other devices in the US, Europe, Japan and India in the coming weeks.

So far, Amazon offers only a limited range of Apple products such as Mac computers and headphones Beats brand. Not included in the new offer, however, is Apple’s streaming speaker HomePod, which competes with Amazon’s online counterpart Echo and voice service Alexa.
Hardly a way past Amazon

Amazon, Apple, and other US technology names, such as Google, have little collaborative power because of their competing supply of devices and services. However, Amazon and Apple have now overcome these differences to increase sales in the key retail time of the year.

The new partnership also shows that Amazon’s market power continues to grow in importance for top brands such as Apple and Nike, who resisted distributing their products through the online retailer for a long time.

At the same time Amazon is harder against counterfeiting of branded products. In addition, from January 4, Amazon will remove third-party Apple products from its offer, which are not authorized by the iPhone manufacturer for sale.
Apple admits problems with iPhone X

Apple admitted meanwhile technical problems with some iPhones and laptops. Affected are devices of the premium model iPhone X from the previous year and certain models of MacBook Pro with 13-inch screen, said the US technology giant. The company will fix the bugs for free.

On the iPhone X, due to a component failure, touchscreens might not respond to touch or respond without being touched. The MacBook Pro computer may experience a memory drive failure and data loss. It’s about some models that were sold between June 2017 and June 2018.
