British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has again warned of a new spread of the coronavirus in the United Kingdom. It is unclear what effects a third CoV wave on mainland Europe will have for the country, Johnson said today at an online meeting with members of his conservative party. The „bitter experience“ is that the UK will be met three weeks after Europe.
“The question is: will it be as bad this time as it was in the past? Or have we sufficiently mitigated, muffled, and dulled the effects of the vaccine dispensing? ”Said Johnson.
The head of government emphasized that he was sticking to his timetable for a relaxation of the strict CoV rules. Accordingly, from Monday onwards, meetings of two households or up to six people are allowed outdoors in the largest part of England. Non-essential shops and outdoor restaurants are not allowed to open until April 12th at the earliest. The government urged the population to exercise caution.
As of today, Wales is once again allowed to take holidays within the region. However, the prerequisite is that households stay among themselves and spend the night in self-catering accommodation.
