France is tightening its coronavirus measures: A nationwide curfew comes into effect today between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. All shops must also close after 6 p.m. Critics fear that this will increase the number of visitors, including in local public transport.

In addition, France is tightening the controls for travelers from non-EU countries. You have to present a negative PCR test from Monday and be in quarantine for a week. Then a second PCR test is due.

The reason for the tightening is concerns about the spread of the British coronavirus mutation. In France, with around 76 million inhabitants, almost 70,000 deaths have been counted in connection with the coronavirus.
