In Singapore, a woman gave birth to a child with antibodies against coronavirus. The baby was born in November without Covid-19 and carries antibodies against the virus, reported the Straits Times and quoted the mother. She was infected in March when she was pregnant, but showed only mild symptoms.

The case gives new evidence of a possible transmission of the virus from mother to child, the report said. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), it is not yet known whether a woman can transmit the virus to her fetus or baby during pregnancy or delivery.
