Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today denied a report that the agreement with the United Arab Emirates contains a secret clause on arms deals. The agreement contained „no agreement by Israel to any arms deal between the US and the UAE,“ said Netanyahu, according to his office.
The Israeli newspaper „Jediot Achronoth“ had reported on such a deal, citing unspecified circles in the USA and the Emirates. A corresponding clause clears the way, among other things, for the sale of ultra-modern US F-35 fighter aircraft and American drone technology to the Emirates.
