At least seven Syrian soldiers were wounded last night in an Israeli missile attack on facilities south and west of Damascus, according to Syrian figures. Syrian air defense has launched several of the missiles, but damage to property has occurred, military officials said.
The Syrian news agency SANA, citing the armed forces, reported that the rockets had been fired from the Golan Heights. Residents from southern Damascus reported loud explosions and howling sirens.
The UK-based Syrian Human Rights Observatory said the Israeli missiles were targeted at military posts by the Syrian armed forces and their Iranian allies in suburbs of Damascus.
