After the appearance of a suspected sex video, the United Nations temporarily suspended two workers in Israel. Internal investigations resulted in a misconduct of the two, „also of a sexual nature,“ said a UN spokesman late last night.

Given the seriousness of the allegations, the two employees were released until the investigation was completed. They are part of the Jerusalem-based UN armistice mission in the Middle East.

A video appeared on social networks last week showing a white SUV with a UN sign. It is said to have been taken on a street in Tel Aviv. A man can be seen in the back seat of the car. A woman in a red dress is sitting on his lap facing him.

The UN is firmly opposed to sexual abuse and sexual exploitation. There have been repeated allegations against the staff in recent years.
