The Mayor of the Italian seaside resort of Caorle wrote a letter to Minister of Health Rudolf Anschober (Greens). The minister mentioned Caorle as an example of safe vacation when Austria announced the opening of its border towards Italy last week.
In the thank-you letter, Mayor Luciano Striuli invited the Minister for a vacation with his family in Caorle. Anschober had appealed to the travelers last week: If you follow the applicable rules such as the minimum distance, it doesn’t matter whether you are on holiday in the Salzkammergut, in Caorle or in Germany.
Anchor’s words „great appreciation“
“The words of Minister Anschober are a great recognition for Caorle and all of his tourism professionals. So I personally wrote a letter of thanks to the Minister. The fact that he explicitly named Caorle confirms the good reputation we enjoy among Austrians who are sure to want to spend their vacation on our beaches again. We are waiting for you with open arms, ”wrote Striuli.
The letter to Anschober was published on the website of the seaside resort near Venice. “I thank you on behalf of me and all of Caorle’s citizens for your attention to our city. For us, your words are a great tribute to the work we do every day to allow tourists to experience our locality in complete safety, ”emphasized the mayor.
