North Korea plans to implement stricter measures to protect the population in the coronavirus pandemic. The ruling workers‘ party Politburo passed a resolution yesterday at a meeting attended by ruler Kim Jong Un, the state agency KCNA reported today. How exactly the measures should look was initially unknown.
North Korea is one of the few countries in the world that, according to its own information, have not reported any known infections with the corona virus. At the meeting, however, according to the KCNA, concerns were raised that the virus would spread „regardless of borders and continents“. Pyongyang has already closed its border with China and restricted the movement of people and goods.
