In the UK, a 13-year-old boy died after being infected with the corona virus. The hospital and family said last night that nothing had been known about the boy’s previous illness.
According to his family, 13-year-old Ismail was admitted to King’s College Hospital in London on Thursday with the symptoms and shortness of breath typical of an infection with the pathogen and tested positive for the corona virus a day later. He was artificially ventilated and put in an artificial coma. The boy died on Monday. He is believed to be the youngest Covid 19 fatality in Britain to date.
Also yesterday, the Belgian authorities announced the death of a twelve-year-old girl after being infected with the virus. A 16-year-old died near Paris last week.
