Spain has registered a hundred new deaths and 2,000 new infections within 24 hours. The Spanish authorities announced today. The country now has 288 fatalities and more than 7,750 cases of infection.
Spain is the second most affected country in Europe by the coronavirus pandemic – after Italy. Yesterday the government in Madrid declared a state of emergency and almost completely quarantined the country.
Tough measures in more and more countries
In addition to Spain, an increasing number of European countries are taking drastic measures against the spread of the corona virus. In France, too, all bars, shops and facilities that are not necessary for basic services have now closed. Denmark, Lithuania and Latvia are closing their borders.
