The German police today searched twelve homes of suspected right-wing extremists in Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony and Hesse. The twelve suspects are said to have formed a group with other participants in July 2019.

The goal of the association is, according to the information, to commit xenophobic motivated bodily harm and property damage as well as crimes under the Arms Act. However, there is currently no knowledge of planned attacks, it was said.

According to a spokeswoman for the Flensburg public prosecutor’s office, a considerable amount of storage media was found during the searches. In addition, narcotics and some objects were found that fall under the weapons law.

Some of the suspects had previously been noticed due to violations of the weapons law and xenophobic offenses. Evidence is to be obtained from the searches in order to clarify the allegation of the formation of a criminal organization and the role of the accused within it.
