Facebook says it has blocked a network of fake Russian military intelligence user accounts. The latter has used more than 100 Facebook and Instagram accounts to spread false information in Ukraine and Eastern Europe, the head of cybersecurity at the US company, Nathaniel Gleicher, told Reuters today.

The employees would often have pretended to be journalists. The Russian intelligence agency has not yet issued a statement. Facebook regularly announces the closure of such user accounts. Russia has repeatedly denied allegations of trying to influence policies in other countries through social networks.
