A helmet from „Star Wars“ villain Darth Vader is one of the showpieces of a major auction of movie relics – and should bring in hundreds of thousands of dollars. The helmet and mask from the movie „The Empire Strikes Back“ (1980) will be offered at auction in Los Angeles at the end of September, according to Profiles auctioneer in History.

It is one of the few helmets worn by actor David Prowse during the shooting. The estimated price is between $ 250,000 and $ 450,000 (around € 400,000). The auction house assumes that the final result could be even higher.

At the auction „Icons and legends of Hollywood“ will be offered on 25 and 26 September almost 1,000 pieces. Calculated with a total revenue of more than ten million dollars.

On offer include a dress from the classic movie „The Wizard of Oz“ (1939, estimate up to $ 500,000), a moon vehicle from the James Bond film „Diamond Fever“ (1971, up to $ 600,000), a dress, Kate Winslet in „Titanic“ from 1997 (up to $ 150,000), and a „Harry Potter“ goggle (up to $ 30,000).
