
After 30 days in prison, Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny has been released today. That said his spokeswoman Kira Jarmisch on Twitter. The prominent Kremlin critic was arrested on charges that he violated the Russian right of demonstration.
Nawalny had called for protests in the Moscow city center against the exclusion of opposition candidates from the local election next month. Hundreds of people were arrested during the protests. The actions of the police were criticized internationally.
