In Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, a terrorist suspect has been arrested in November 2015 for involvement in an attack in Paris. The 39-year-old Bosnian was caught a week ago, as the Dresden public prosecutor announced today.

Against the man lay a European arrest warrant of the Belgian authorities on suspicion of the support of a terrorist association in connection with the terrorist attacks, among other things on the concert hall Bataclan.

The Attorney General in Saxony-Anhalt is now examining his extradition to Belgium. The terrorist suspect was detained by special forces of the BKA, according to the information in the night of June 20. According to a spokesman for the German Prosecutor General’s Office, he was arrested in the area of ​​Merseburg.

Due to the existing European arrest warrant, he was presented to the investigating judge in the district court of Merseburg and is currently in provisional extradition custody.
