The Japanese government has published a list of those who were awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, six Russian citizens are presented for the award. This informs RIA News.

Vladimir Urin, Director General of the Russian Bolshoi Theater, and Marina Loshak, Director of the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, were awarded the Third Degrees of the Rising Sun with golden rays and ribbon.

The former mayor of Khabarovsk, Alexander Sokolov, and the director of the St. Petersburg school with in-depth study of Japanese and English, Natalia Polyakov, were awarded orders of the fourth degree with golden rays and a rosette.

The Order of the Fifth Degree with gold and silver rays was received by Leading Researcher of the Graphics Department, Curator of the Eastern Graphics Collection of the Pushkin Museum Ainura Yusupova and Chairman of the Sakhalin Friendship Society-Japan.

In May 2018, the Russian Senator Viktor Ozerov was awarded the Japanese Order of the Rising Sun.
