That should be difficult for US President Trump: According to General Motors, the US company Ford wants to cut thousands of jobs. The restructuring wave should begin on Tuesday.
Ford will reduce a total of 7,000 administrative and management positions by August, including 2,300 in the US. This saves Ford 600 million dollars per year – means that the auto company wants to put into future technologies.
Deterioration of hierarchy and bureaucracy
In a message to his employees stressed Ford boss Jim Hackett, it would be reduced above all hierarchies and bureaucracy. In the future, managers and executives will be responsible for more employees than before. The Ford boss literally wrote: „To be successful in the competition for future technologies, we have to reduce bureaucracy, give managers more responsibility, accelerate decision-making and reduce costs.“
Most of the jobs that are canceled in the US are located at the corporate headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan.

In November, General Motors had already announced that it would cut 14,000 jobs and close five car plants. As a result, US President Donald Trump had made serious allegations to the corporate executives.
