One week after the violent riots on the Gaza Strip, Israel has reopened the sealed-off border crossings. The truce agreed between the two sides seems to be largely maintained.

About a week after the most violent outbreaks of violence on the border between the Gaza Strip and Israel, the Israeli government reopened the border crossings into the Palestinian Territory. Urgent food deliveries possible again

Nearly 30 dead in riots

Riots in the border area killed four Israelis and 25 Palestinians. Hundreds of people were injured. As a result, Israel sealed off the border and restricted the fishing zone.

Also on Friday, according to Israel’s army, about 6,000 Palestinians had protested at the border fence. The army used teardrop gunfire and live ammunition. There was a dead man.

Ceasefire largely stable

Israel reportedly relinquishes agreements reached during the ceasefire with the Palestinian armed groups less than a week ago with the easing of the border closure. This unofficial ceasefire has been stable so far.
