Due to the ongoing ban on the Boeing 737 Max, the American airline American Airlines is canceling 115 flights per day in the coming months. Airline boss Doug Parker said yesterday that corresponds to about 1.5 percent of the daily offered in the summer flights. For the time being, American Airlines is not planning a Boeing 737 Max until August 19th.

At the same time, Parker expressed his confidence in the machine, which had come under criticism after two aviation catastrophes. He assumes that the Boeing 737 Max may fly again before 19 August. American Airlines has 24 machines of this type.

After the crash of a Boeing 737 Max with 157 dead in Ethiopia in March, a global ban on aircraft of this type was imposed. Only in October was such a Boeing crashed off the Indonesian island of Java, all 189 inmates died. When searching for the cause of both crashes, the control software MCAS is suspected. The aircraft company Boeing is working on a software update.
