EU Justice Commissioner Vera Jourova has called for leaving Facebook. „I wish that others would follow my example,“ she told the „Stuttgarter Zeitung“ and the „Stuttgarter Nachrichten“ (Friday issues) according to a preliminary report.
Jourova deleted her user account in 2015. „We should preserve the freedom of how far we expose ourselves to this permanent public communication,“ she said. „This also applies to politicians.“ Jourova announced „greater pressure and some legal requirements“ for Facebook and other platforms.
