US Special Representative for the DPRK Stephen Beagan will discuss the results of the summit of the United States and North Korea with the Permanent Representatives of the countries – members of the UN Security Council.
According to the press service of the US Department of State, March 14, Bigan will visit New York for „meetings with the UN Security Council and key permanent representatives.“
„Special Representative Bigan will discuss the recent US-DPRK summit in Hanoi and efforts to ensure the full implementation of the relevant UN Security Council resolutions related to the DPRK until the final, fully confirmed denuclearization of North Korea,“ the report said.
Earlier, the State Department expressed interest in opening a US diplomatic mission in North Korea.
February 28 in Hanoi ended the US-DPRK summit. The parties failed to reach an agreement.
