Malaysian authorities have confirmed the extradition of four Egyptian citizens to the Egyptian authorities who have been living in Malaysian territory for four years, on the backdrop of security charges.
A foreign ministry spokesman told the island that those who were expelled from the country were arrested under the Security Crimes Act and handed over to the Egyptian authorities, without giving further details.
At the same time, a statement by the Malaysian Immigration Service said that the residence permits of the four who were expelled from the country were revoked under Article 9 of the Immigration Act, which authorizes the director of the department to revoke the residence of those who believe his presence is harming the country for any reason.
