Russia’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, said that the speaker of the opposition Venezuelan National Assembly, Juan Guaido, is an “impostor from the street” recognized by the United States and European countries.
This diplomat said during a speech in the UN Security Council, reports RIA Novosti.
“In an independent Latin American country, an impostor suddenly found himself on the street proclaiming himself president of the country and immediately after a few minutes was recognized by the United States,” said Nebenzya.
According to him, a number of European and Latin American countries, hesitating, also recognized „this subject“ the Venezuelan president.
Also, the Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN said that the only purpose of Washington in Venezuela is regime change, including military means.
