In Belgium, many people demonstrated again for better climate protection. According to police estimates, around 70,000 citizens today participated in a „march for the climate“ in order to demand ambitious and socially just measures to limit carbon dioxide emissions. Another protest event took place in Mons.
A first major demonstration for climate protection had already been organized in Brussels on 2 December. In addition, there have been protests from pupils and students for several weeks, some of which even skip class and lectures. They are part of the international initiative „Fridays For Future“.
