According to a report by the Isna news agency, 15 people have been killed in an emergency landing of an Iranian cargo plane at an Iranian airport.

On board the machine were therefore 16 people. Only the flight engineer could be rescued, according to the Isna report, which relies on information from emergency services.

According to the state television IRIB, the aircraft is a Boeing 707 that flew from Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan and crashed at the Fath military air base in Karaj – west of the capital Tehran. The machine had strayed off the train, hit a wall and caught fire.

According to the news agency Isna, the residential area of ​​Sibadascht is also near the scene of the accident. It is still unclear whether houses were damaged during the emergency landing. The authorities wanted to comment on further details, especially regarding the cause of the emergency landing, only after the evaluation of the black box of the machine.
